FAQs
What is the Global Health Case Competition?
The Global Health Case Competition (GHCC) is an interdisciplinary case competition—university students from all faculties and backgrounds take part in developing solutions to a health issue.
Participants gain the opportunity to learn about current health issues and health policy, engage in cross-disciplinary collaboration, and develop problem-solving skills.
How does it work?
Participants form teams of 2–4 students.
On Launch Night, each team receives a case brief detailing a global health challenge related to the annual theme. Teams develop a proposed solution, submitted through a slide deck.
Outstanding solutions are selected as finalists and invited to present at Finals Night. At this event, finalists will have the opportunity to showcase their proposals to a panel of judges, who will provide feedback and select the winners of the case competition.
What will I get out of it?
You will improve your problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
At Finals Night, finalists will have the opportunity to network with industry experts, mentors and peers, and gain recognition for their creative solutions to health issues.
Most importantly, this case competition is a great way to collaborate in addressing a real-world health issue. The top team will receive a project grant to bring their proposed solution to life.
